The Fastest, most Eco-Friendly way to the Chevrolet Belle Isle Grand Prix.


Ferry boat runs to/from Belle Isle approximately every 30 minutes Friday and Saturday, Sunday every hour, between 6:30AM thru 8:30PM, during the event. Average transit time by boat to Belle Isle is 12 minutes, the fastest mode of transportation available to the island during the event.

Location and Route
Boat depart from the Port Authority Public Dock Passenger Terminal (across from Miller parking garage) located at 130 Atwater Street (corner of Bates Street) in downtown Detroit. The ferry drops passengers at the Harbor Master terminal near the main entrance to the Grand Prix on Belle Isle.

Parking is available at the Miller parking garage as well as COBO, GM, and other lots designated on the Belle Isle Grand Prix transportation map. You can take a short walk from any of the parking lots to the ferry terminal.

Ferry Tickets
Tickets are $10.00 for Adults and $5.00 for Children. You can purchase tickets at the terminal, paying by cash or credit card.

Detroit Grand Prix Ferry T-Shirts are available for sale at the terminal. A portion of the profits from all T-Shirt sales will go to support the Detroit Wayne County Port Foundation.
